Type plain letters. A matches Á, O matches Ó, and so on, so you are never punished for a fada you cannot type. The real spelling, fadas and all, is shown when the word is revealed.

A day you do not solve is worth nothing, and you can still post it. Posting is what puts a day on the board: solving on its own does not.

The board

The leaderboard adds up the days you posted, rather than picking your best one. One puzzle a day means a single best day would leave most people tied, so turning up matters as much as guessing well.

Everybody gets the same word, and it changes at midnight Irish time. There is no archive: a missed day is a missed day, and it breaks your streak.
